A renewal denial turned into a documented resubmission

Harbor Line Components was told its cyber renewal would not proceed until open controls were evidenced. The $750 standard review produced a punch-list, their IT provider closed the gaps, and the carrier accepted the resubmission.

The problem

The carrier paused the renewal. The application listed MFA, backups, and endpoint coverage, but the broker had no files to show which controls were actually in place.

Our approach

Harbor Line ran the standard review. The punch-list named each open control and the file to upload. They invited their IT provider, attached the exports, and sent the broker a read-only record.

Business impact

  • The resubmission packet was ready in 11 days
  • 14 controls were documented before the broker sent the file back to the carrier
  • The carrier issued the renewal after reviewing that evidence
